Can you play Teamfight Tactics on a Mac?
Short answer: No. TFT on PC runs in Riot's client with Vanguard, a kernel-mode anti-cheat driver, and Riot doesn't support other operating systems.
What we know
Riot's Vanguard FAQ states that Vanguard consists of a client plus a kernel mode driver, and that it must be running for Teamfight Tactics on PC as well as for League of Legends.
Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel. A kernel-mode anti-cheat driver has nothing to load into, and no Grapple setting changes that — only the game's publisher can.
Riot's own TFT specs page says the game is not supported on other operating systems such as Linux or SteamOS, and that while you may be able to make it run, Riot won't help you or guarantee it works. AreWeAntiCheatYet lists TFT as denied on Linux/Proton.
Riot's Mac support for TFT is in flux: as of patch 18.2 the Mac client is limited to PBE servers during the Unreal Engine migration, and Intel Macs aren't supported. The mobile version is the other official way to play on Apple hardware.

What to do instead
There are no Grapple settings that get around a kernel-level anti-cheat block, and we won't suggest workarounds that could get your account banned. If the publisher offers cloud streaming, that runs on a Mac; otherwise it needs a Windows PC.

Why doesn't Teamfight Tactics work with Grapple?
Teamfight Tactics relies on Riot Vanguard, which uses a kernel-mode driver on Windows. Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel, so that driver can't load — and the publisher doesn't allow Wine-based layers. The same applies to CrossOver and other Wine-based tools. Only the game's developer can change that.
Will a future Grapple update make Teamfight Tactics work?
Not by itself. Anti-cheat blocks like this are decided by the publisher, not by compatibility tools. If the publisher changes its policy, we'll re-test and update this page.
