Get Grapple for Mac.
One game free, forever — with one-click setup for Steam, GOG and Epic, and the full engine. Your game is claimed the first time you play it, and you can swap it once every 30 days. Upgrade to Pro for your whole library from inside the app or your account whenever you're ready.
- 1Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Grapple into Applications.
- 2Launch Grapple. If asked, allow macOS to install Rosetta 2.
- 3Let Grapple fetch its engine and D3DMetal — about 250 MB, once. It walks you through it and checks every file before installing it.
- 4Have Pro? Paste the licence key from your account page into Grapple → Settings → Account.
System requirements
Apple Silicon
A Mac with an M1 chip or newer. Intel Macs aren't supported.
Graphics: the real limit
Base M-series chips suit older and lighter games. Heavier recent 3D games can keep a base chip's GPU at 100% — expect Low settings there, or use a Pro- or Max-class chip for higher settings.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later
Newer is better — graphics fixes land in each macOS release.
Rosetta 2
Grapple runs x86 Windows games through Rosetta 2. macOS will offer to install it on first launch.
A one-time setup download
The first time you open Grapple it downloads its engine and Apple's D3DMetal — about 250 MB together — and keeps them inside Grapple. That is what covers DirectX 9 to 12; you never need a developer account or a separate toolkit install.
Free disk space
About 2 GB for Grapple, its engine and graphics layers once they are unpacked, plus room for your games.
