Can you play For Honor on a Mac?

Short answer: Likely to work, but not tested yet — For Honor lists DirectX 9, which Grapple runs through Wine's WineD3D layer. Try it on the Free plan and tell us how it went.

What we know

Steam lists For Honor for Windows only. Both its minimum and recommended requirements list DirectX 9.0c.

DirectX 9 predates DXMT, so Grapple runs it through Wine's own WineD3D layer, which has handled DirectX 9 for years. That's an expectation, not a result — we haven't tested it yet.

Steam's store page doesn't flag a kernel-level anti-cheat; it lists Denuvo anti-tamper and a Ubisoft account requirement. AreWeAntiCheatYet lists For Honor as supported on Linux/Proton with Easy Anti-Cheat — whether that carries over to Wine on macOS is exactly what a test has to show.
