Can you play F1 25 on a Mac?
Short answer: No. F1 25 ships with EA Javelin Anticheat, a Windows kernel-mode driver that Wine-based tools like Grapple cannot load.
What we know
Steam's store page for F1 25 discloses "Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat: EA Javelin Anticheat", alongside Denuvo anti-tamper.
EA describes its anti-cheat as a kernel-mode solution, and its help pages require Secure Boot to be enabled on Windows before a Javelin-protected game will launch.
Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel. A kernel-mode anti-cheat driver has nothing to load into, and no Grapple setting changes that — only the game's publisher can.
GamingOnLinux's anti-cheat list records F1 25 as broken on Linux, which is where Wine-based layers get tested first. Steam lists it for Windows only, with DirectX 12.

What to do instead
There are no Grapple settings that get around a kernel-level anti-cheat block, and we won't suggest workarounds that could get your account banned. If the publisher offers cloud streaming, that runs on a Mac; otherwise it needs a Windows PC.

Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel, so that driver can't load — and the publisher doesn't allow Wine-based layers. The same applies to CrossOver and other Wine-based tools. Only the game's developer can change that.
Will a future Grapple update make F1 25 work?
Not by itself. Anti-cheat blocks like this are decided by the publisher, not by compatibility tools. If the publisher changes its policy, we'll re-test and update this page.
Is there a Mac version of F1 25?
